There will always be guns. This guy was just dumber than most. But bright enough to do the job. You have heard it before: when weapons are outlawed only outlaws will have weapons.

Go away and look up the figures for gun ownership as a percentage of the US and UK populations and the murder rate directly linked to gun use in both countries and you’ll have statistical evidence that shows you why only law enforcement/armed forces should ever have guns. In the UK, the police don’t carry guns (except certain divisions in sensitive places such as airports etc) which means criminals don’t feel under as much pressure to tool up and will use less lethal forms of weaponry such as cricket/baseball bats, crow bars, knives (not great I know, but are still less likely to kill instantly like a gun and harder to attack someone with). In certain pockets of the country there has been a rise in gun and knife crime which is directly linked to poverty and unemployment in those areas. Arming everyone to the teeth to stop gun crime is an oxymoron.
I must say, I could not agree with you in 100%, but it’s just my opinion, which could be wrong.
