Benghazi- Where Are The Romney Officers?

CoastGuard2

Few rules are more inviolate in Military Tradition than “no soldier left behind”.

We recover the wounded and honor the fallen and remember the missing.

From Thermopylae to King Henry to Churchill to Eisenhower to Vietnam foot soldiers trust they will be supported by any means necessary.

Until Benghazi.

In 2012 Mitt Romney ran for President with the public support of many Top Level US Military Officers.

Unlike their Swift Boat counterparts in the 2004 Presidential Campaign, in this season of American history every one of the Romney Officer Corps has been publicly silent and AWOL on the topic of Benghazi.

Here are the names of the Officers who auditioned for their jobs, cashed the paychecks and now refuse to do necessary work to avenge the deaths of Medal of Honor Candidates Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods.

If you know any of these guys, call them.

Remind them this is still America.

An America they swore to preserve, protect and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Nuclear Suitcase Bomb 101

SuitcaseBombB

The venerable James Burke cut quite a swath through the intellectual history community circa 1978 with his thesis on the connection between widely separated innovations and their collective impact on Society.

Long before “preppers” and “survivalists” and “SHTF types”, Mr. Burke explained the thin veneer of Civilization in terms everyone could understand.

One of his eloquent pithy soliloquies is now available for your perusal courtesy of NC Gun Guy.

In the post Cold War era it is truly said when nuclear devices are outlawed only outlaws will have nuclear devices.

A few repairable examples of the relic described in the video are bound to be floating around somewhere and well within the budget of say, a George Soros, Bill Gates, Ross Perot or even some International cabal of terrorists- Taliban, Al Quaeda, North Korea or Iran to acquire, possess, transport, and deploy.

While I am sure the video example is a mock up or at best a trainer, the concept boggles the mind.

So while the Neville Chamberlains among us fret about new and better ways to visit devastation on the great unwashed masses with some fancy pants gun control restrictions, the clock ticks down on this neutered Society of ours.

Sleep well.

Tank Killer 101

RUN! RUN AWAY!

RUN! RUN AWAY!

From the Syrian resistance comes this graphic affirmation of the vulnerability of tanks.

Your drill Sargent always told you a stationary tank is a dead tank.

Even worse is a stationary tank without boots-on-the-ground infantry to protect it.

A little pluck, a little luck, a little skill and BOOM! it is gone!

In the 1956 Hungarian Revolution teenagers placed inverted cast iron frying pans in plain view to mimic improvised landmines and stalled the advance of Russian tanks in the streets of Budapest.

In 2013 a Syrian teenager demonstrated an important principle of any resistance movement: It is NOT your job to die for your country! It is your job to make the OTHER GUY die for HIS country!!!!

This intrepid teenager singlehandedly eliminated a million dollar tank with a bargain basement hand grenade.

It was always thus and thus it will always be…..

Dumb Mayors and Gun Confiscation

Bloomberg's Dangerous Gun Advertisement

Bloomberg’s Dangerous Gun Advertisement

BOOM! Mayor Bloomberg’s Gun Control Advertising Campaign bombs with the most irresponsible example of firearm handling possible.

To err is human, to really foul things up acquire a computer and if you seek to ruin things beyond all repair call a Politician. Especially an outfit like Mayors For Gun Confiscation, because they make their own case for incompetent leadership even as they demand more compliance with their ridiculous edicts.

Today’s episode involves the release of two ostensibly passionate pleas for more stringent regulation delivered by an actor who has probably never handled or fired a firearm in his life. The errors are so off-the-wall egregious as to be almost beyond the ability of rational men to catalog.

Excerpt:

Mr. Bloomberg’s organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, produced two ads featuring a man holding a shotgun, wearing plaid flannel with a camouflage cap and sitting on the tailgate of a pickup truck. While a child swings on a tire in the background, the man says, “I support comprehensive background checks so criminals and the dangerously mentally ill can’t buy guns.”

The ad does not specify if the man is an actor, but he violates all three gun safety rules taught by the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Free lance wildcat posters have already appeared on discussion forums:

And, of course, here at JohnJacobH the topic of actors with good trigger discipline and muzzle awareness has been covered recently with the example of young child actor Bill Mumy who handled firearms expertly at the age of seven back in 1961:

Or senior actor Tom Selleck, who has been unable to set a good example of proper weapon manipulation up to the age of forty something.

Tango Fox 1 Comma 2nd Amendment

Back in the prelapsarian days when Free Republic was an active vibrant website for Conservative thought and action, many vigorous 2nd Amendment debates were conducted amongst highly gifted Freepers.

Tango Fox contributed above and beyond the call of duty with his detailed analysis of the history and origin of the 2nd Amendment. In one of my early posts I archived his work in a text format,CLICK LINK HERE but as the Free Republic Archives slowly disappear down the memory hole, important work should be preserved in as many ways as possible.

He detailed the one comma 2nd Amendment with a rich tapestry of documentation and commentary.

So, today, please enjoy and save these screen shots from the Pleistocene days of the World Wide Web.

Tango Fox, you are missed and your work is not forgotten.

RINO FUDD Alert: Professor Edward J Erler

NC Gun Guy offers new video of a Professor Edward J.Erler who seems blissfully unaware of the current state of United States gun laws even as he lectures an audience at the Hillsdale College Kirby Center on the nature and purpose of the 2nd Amendment.

While his rhetoric does not exactly move into the malignant fraud of Professor Michael Bellesiles (at least not in this lecture) he will definitely never be confused with a modern day pulpit pounding Patrick Henry screaming “Give me Liberty or give me Death!”

He is, in fact, exactly the kind of cryto covert passive aggressive Milquetoast RINO Republican FUDD who has brought this Republic to its knees under the century old Progressive assault he purports to oppose.

While he claims to support the 2nd Amendment his narcoleptic language and thought gently nudge the audience into a morass of administrative state edicts and restrictions.

First comes the astounding claim fully automatic weapons have been illegal since the 1930s.

A.(Weapons were taxed, but legal–click here)
B.(13 year old Katelyn Francis shoots full auto at a 3 gun match CLICK HERE)

In addition, the good Doctor also seems to believe the venerable WWII M1 Carbine should be classified as an “assault rifle” ( a role for which it was never designed), is remarkably comfortable with the notion weapons should be banned from any areas Leviathan Government deems “sensitive”, is dismissive of the role of the local Sheriff as a Constitutional bulwark, and finally, is far too comfortable with the idea of banning entire categories of weapons because they are somehow unusual or dangerous.

The number of times Dr. Erler uses the term “assault rifle” in the first few minutes of his talk would make the most devoted acolyte’s head spin. He is completely unaware of the NSSF list of rifle industry wide terms to include Modern Sport Rifle (MSR), Modular Component Rifle (MCR), Sport Utility Rifle (SUR) or Modular Precision Rifle (MPR). CLICK LINK HERE

So clearly this is not a man who should be given a leadership role defending the Bill of Rights.

The guy is not a lawyer and he is certainly not familiar with the contemporary gun rights environment.

In fact, his only credentials appear to be an academic PhD in Political Science.

Has this fine Academic EVER shot NRA Bullseye? Joined IDPA? IPSC? Gone to Camp Perry? Plinked for rats at the local dump? Gone hunting? Shot trap or skeet? Cowboy Action Shooting? Civil War Reenactment? World War II Reenactment? Is he familiar with Kim Rhode? John Ross? Thunder Ranch? Jeff Cooper?

Can he name any activity outside the Ivory Tower of Academia directly involved with active use of a firearm?

If all these activities and ideas and people are alien to him he has no place at the top of the 2nd Amendment food chain.

We, the people, do not need any more Ann Coulters or Karl Roves or Heritage Foundations or Cato Institutes or even Hillsdale Colleges controlling the narrative or dialogue about who will best lead us out of the wilderness of crippling Progressive Politics.

Enough already.

Return, sir, to your cloistered halls and leave the dirty work to those of us who suffer most severely from the oppression of totalitarian Federalism.
