STUDENTS FOR CONCEALED CARRY ON CAMPUS ANNOUNCES

NATIONAL CONFERENCE

On August 1, 2008, college students from throughout the United States will attend the first Students for Concealed Carry on Campus National Conference at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. funded by the Second Amendment Foundation.

This distinguished, one-day event will feature many noteworthy speakers and guests. Among them will be Dr. John R. Lott, world reputed scholar and author of More Guns Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws, Alan Gura, the Virginia based attorney who argued the recent Heller vs. DC Supreme Court case, and many more.

SCCC and SAF will be providing students with one night free at The District Hotel and students traveling over 750 miles are eligible to receive a travel scholarship up to $250. Reimbursements will be given to those students who present a valid student I.D. and travel receipts at the conference. Travel itineraries should be forwarded to Reservations@ConcealedCampus.org in order to secure travel scholarships and to reserve their spot at the conference.

SCCC’s national organizers strongly encourage all members to attend this historic event. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to meet and network with like-minded individuals from throughout the United States, make important contacts, hear world-renowned scholars speak about concealed carry on college campuses and visit the nation’s capital.

SCCC is dedicated to persuading state governments and school administrators to approve laws and campus policies that will grant all citizens with concealed handgun licenses the right to carry their concealed handguns on college campuses.   2. You know, I have to tell you, I really enjoy this blog and the insight from everyone who participates. I find it to be refreshing and very informative. I wish there were more blogs like it. Anyway, I felt it was about time I posted, Ive spent most of my time here just lurking and reading, but today for some reason I just felt compelled to say this.
