Excerpt:

Investigators said 46-year-old Walter Lance grabbed a woman who was walking her dog in Milliken Park on Sunday afternoon. They said Lance choked the woman, made her take off her clothing and tried to rape her. (Full Story)

Lance is in custody and was denied bond on Monday.

Sheriff Chuck Wright opened his news conference by saying, “Our form of justice is not making it.”

He said, “Carry a concealed weapon. That’ll fix it.”

Wright said Lance had been charged numerous times with crimes against women, and other crimes such as resisting arrest and escape.

Excerpt:

He just served 14 months on a federal probation violation for being in possession of a weapon. I don’t think every single person needs to be in jail forever, but I believe this animal right here (holds up picture) don’t deserve to be out in our society walking along aside of our women. I don’t think that this animal should have a right or an option to try and violate a lady who is a good upstanding member of society and doesn’t cause trouble and now has to live along with her family and friends has to deal with this senseless act.

Now I don’t want to make this just a crime against a woman, this is a crime that is, this is a horrific crime. This ladies life was theatened so many times during this act, it’s almost too bad that somebody with a concealed weapons permit had not walked by and heard the cries. That would fix it. That would have fixed this.

It’s gonna get, if we don’t do something in our society to change the way our justice system is not working, that’s about what you’re gonna start having. People are sick and tired of doing the right thing, doing the right thing, doing the right thing, and then people popping out of the back doors of the jails on account of some technicality.

Hitler Discovers Operation Gunwalker

Okay, I left Gunwalker in the hands of the competent, “serious”, “professional” bloggers for over ten months and made no public comment as child of a lesser blog, but *THIS* is funny!!

TOP SHOT McMillan TAC-50

Dustin Ellerman

Holy Mackerel!

Another TOP SHOT Spectacular!

From start to prone, self-educated marksman and Christian Camp Counselor Dustin Ellermann loaded, cocked and hit a moving target at 500 yards with a McMillan TAC-50 in 8.22 seconds!

That, my friend, is shooting! You must see this to believe it!

Did I mention winds were blowing in the 25 mph range?

Lest you think this was some kind of fluke, three other competitors shot the same course between 9-12 seconds.

And of course, one guy took five minutes and 14 cartridges.

LawDog Commemorates 9/11

Read it! Whut he said. Wish I’d of said that or something similar!

Ten years ago I said if George W. was serious about National Security he would pass out fire hoses to neighbor Community Watch Teams if it was so important to throw money and infrastructure at the situation. More people would have learned more valuable skills in a few weeks better, faster, cheaper, as they practiced teamwork through (Fire) training drills than anything the Government has done in a decade!

Sadly it was not to be.

Tantalizing Excerpt:

Seems the Thing To Do Today is to remember what you were doing on this date, ten years ago.

Really? One tiny decade later? Ask me on the fiftieth anniversary. That’s a decent amount of time for commemoration.

Instead we should be remembering what we weren’t doing on this day ten years ago.

If that is not enough red meat for you head over to Frank W. James for an after dinner mint:

Excerpt:

Some of us, me in particular, find these ‘security searches’, where ever they are practiced, so demeaning and so senseless that our blood pressure rises and anger management becomes not a term associated with others, but a condition similar in many respects to breathing.

My internal anger response is pre-programed and subconscious.

Massad Ayoob- When I Was A Kid

And then there were four…..

No less than Massad Ayoob himself joins the “When I was a kid chorus” sung here at John Jacob H over and over and over again. Category Link HERE

While Mr. Ayoob frequently slides toward the fringe of the “reasonable restriction” crowd, his anecdote from childhood rings true with all the other childhood stories accumulated thus far.

Delightful Excerpt:

I grew up with firearms. By the age of nine, I had a .22 rifle, a shotgun, and a Winchester 94 deer rifle hanging on a rack in my bedroom. At the age of 12, I had a loaded Colt .45 automatic in the desk drawer in that same bedroom.

DIY Bullet Necklace   My long lost west coast friend Emma is coming to visit from LA this weekend and this post is dedicated to her. Emma introduced me to UNEARTHEN, sneakily hinted my boyfriend into buying me one for my birthday, and also dutifully collected these bullet casings for me at a real shooting range. That's a real friend. If you don't have a friend to collect casings for you, you can also buy them here. Follow the easy tutorial below to make bullets into … Read More
